This Tornado Loves You
This series provides a behind-the-scenes look at how the art is developed for Midnight ‘Moir.
Mosaic Art is a practice in humility. An artist in spirit but not craft, I break and fix art pieces a thousand times before they arrived imperfectly dressed on the page.
This art piece was a special request by my 6yo son whose latest obsession is tornadoes. This Tornado Loves You was inspired by a dream my son shared with me about a tornado trying to destroy our home before going outside and proposing marriage. Naturally, I wove the art into Midnight ‘Moir, because work smarter not harder.
